The new Last Frontier Adventure from Alaskan Dream Cruises caters to active travelers looking for adventure in Alaska's Inside Passage.
The seven-night tour sails between Sitka and Juneau, taking guests to remote stretches of Glacier Bay National Park and Preserve, Petroglyph Beach in Wrangell, the waterfalls of Baranof Island, the Baird Glacier in Thomas Bay, and the company's Orca Point Lodge. Daily schedules feature rainforest hikes, glacier treks, kayaking outings and other wilderness activities.
The Last Frontier Adventure (starting at $3,795) departs on the Baranof Dream or the Admiralty Dream six times between May and August 2019, with additional outings planned for 2020.
"This itinerary allows guests to be actively engaged in exploring Alaska's wilderness," Doug McLatchie, Alaskan Dream Cruises director of sales, said in a statement. "For anyone who's dreamed of reaching out and touching the Alaska landscapes they see on TV nature shows, this is for them."
With the new tour addition, Alaskan Dream Cruises is dividing its cruise itineraries into Adventure Series and Signature Series categories. Adventure Series tours sail on expedition vessels and can customized to active interests. Signature Series outings are small-ship voyages that spotlight culture, wildlife, scenery and port cities through the company's four classic itineraries.
Fares include onboard accommodations, scheduled shore excursions, use of recreational equipment, airport transfers, all meals during the sailing and a complimentary glass of wine or beer with dinner. In 2019, Deluxe, Vista View and Suite bookings will include all alcoholic beverages.
