Are there two sweeter words in the English language than "free parking?" Ask Las Vegas, where resorts that jumped on the paid-parking bandwagon are gradually hopping off. That list now includes the Cosmopolitan, which recently announced that self and valet parking will be included as part of the hotel's $39 resort fee.
The new parking policy is one of a handful of updates at the center Strip hotel and casino. The Cosmopolitan is also heading into the new year by wrapping up renovations of its 3,033 rooms, designed with Virserius Studio, and expanding the capabilities of its Rose chatbot. Along with answering questions and fulfilling basic requests, Rose can now check guests out of the hotel, applying all charges to the credit card on file and letting visitors skip the front desk on their way out the door.
Finally in 2019, the Cosmopolitan is debuting a new amenity for its elite casino customers — read big spenders — in the form of a private Gulfstream jet. With seating for 16, a distinctive, branded paint job and in-flight menus that pull from the resort's restaurants, the jet will let high rollers start their Cosmopolitan experience way before they land in the desert.
