Sabre's bookings and revenue each increased 7.7% in the third quarter, prompting the company to increase 2018 guidance for revenue and net income.

Revenue increased for each of Sabre's business units -- Travel Network, Airline Solutions and Hospitality Solutions -- led by Travel Network's 10.7% bump to $700.2 million.

Airline Solutions and Hospitality Solutions revenue increased 1.1% and 3.1% to $209.4 million and $69.9 million, respectively.

Bookings were up in Asia-Pacific (17.8%), North America (8%) and Europe, the Middle East and Africa (3.7%). Latin American bookings declined 6.3%.

Sabre's net income decreased 19.8% to $73 million because of a $27.5 million settlement with insurance carriers in a case from 2012.

Sabre increased its 2018 guidance, expecting 7% to 8% growth in revenue, up from 4% to 7%. Net income is now expected to grow 6% to 9%, up from the previous  projection of a 1% decline to a 9% increase.
