ARC has joined NDC Exchange, a marketplace for airline product sales supported by IATA's New Distribution Capability (NDC). ARC's settlement data will be integrated with the marketplace.

NDC is a new XML-based data transmission standard that promises to improve the capability of airline sales, allowing for airlines to make personalized offers and to sell ancillary products in the travel agency channel.

NDC Exchange was launched last fall by the Airline Tariff Publishing Co. (ATPCO) and technology company SITA.

According to ARC, it will form a joint team with ATPCO to work on integrating its settlement services and data with NDC Exchange.

"By combining each company's expertise, ARC and ATPCO expect to offer more flexible transaction processing workflows, billing and settlement, and outputs that enable airlines and agencies to efficiently manage their partnerships as available content grows," ARC president and CEO Mike Premo said in a statement.
