Passport Online's Marilyn Macallair retiring

Longtime Passport Online executive Marilyn Macallair is retiring, and the company is restructuring its leadership team as a result.

Macallair has worked with Passport Online for 17 years. She will retire as its vice president of business development but stay on in a consulting role for the first half of 2019 to help with the transition.

She has been in the industry for more than 40 years, and said she planned to travel more in retirement.

The company's current vice president of supplier relations, Jeanne Colombo, will be promoted to vice president of strategic partnerships. She joined Passport Online more than six years ago; before that, she was a Passport Online customer and member of the Passport Advisory Board via her American Express agency.

A new role, director of business development, will be filled by Joy Martinello, who was most recently the director of leisure travel services, western region, for Direct Travel.

"Marilyn has been an integral part of a team that grew the company's portfolio and helped establish its role as a technology leader in leisure travel," Rick Nagle, president and CEO of Passport Online, said in a statement. "She has cultivated and expanded Passport Online's presence with the entire travel agency, consortia and host agency community and helped thousands of travel agency customers expand their digital footprint."
