Generali Global Assistance has named Philippe Gervais
president of the travel insurance company.
Gervais joins Generali from Europ Assistance Belgium, where
he was CEO. His tenure with Europ Assistance began in 2003 as director of
strategy and acquisitions. During his time with the company, he helped bring
CSA Travel Protection and GMMI into the Europ Assistance USA (now Generali Global
Assistance) family of companies.
Gervais' career began in 1992 as a product and sales manager
for the Nestle group. He joined Price Waterhouse Coopers in 1995, first as a
consultant, then as a manager. He was named CEO of Ocealis and president of
Europ Teleassistance in 2012. He was named Europ Assistance Belgium CEO in
2014.
At Generali, Gervais will be based in San Diego, its travel
insurance headquarters. He will report to Chris Carnicelli, CEO of Generali
Global Assistance North America.
