Riviera River Cruises' 167-passenger Robert Burns will be
christened by Omega World Travel founder Gloria Bohan at a ceremony in Vienna
on April 3.
Bohan founded Omega World Travel (No. 17 on Travel Weekly's
2017 Power List)
in 1972. It has since grown into a global travel management company with annual
revenue of more than $1 billion. Omega owns online cruise agency Cruise.com and
travel technology company TravTech.
Following the christening ceremony, the Robert Burns will
depart on a three-night cruise from Vienna to Budapest that will host about 75
North American travel agents. After the inaugural sailing, the Robert Burns
will sail along the Rhine, Main and Danube rivers.
The 443-foot-long vessel is being billed as an all-suite
ship with the smallest suites measuring 183 square feet each. There will be
superior and deluxe suites, and the suites on the upper two decks will feature
a French balcony.

There will be two dining venues onboard, a main restaurant
and an alternative indoor/outdoor venue called the Bistro, which will offer a
more casual dining experience, featuring an open kitchen where the chef will
present signature dishes to a small group of diners.
U.K.-based Riviera River Cruises expanded into the U.S. last
year, when it established a U.S. sales office in Fairfield, Conn. With the
addition of the Robert Burns, the company will have a fleet of 11 river cruise
vessels in Europe.
Bohan was godmother of Windstar's Star Legend in 2015.
