The Hotel Il Castello, the recently renovated five-star hotel at Forte Village Resort on Sardinia, has been named a Virtuoso preferred supplier.
The property, which features 169 rooms, eight suites and 41 bungalows, offers exclusive use of a heated, freshwater pool overlooking the Mediterranean and direct access to the beach. The refurbished guestrooms now feature a contemporary design blended with decor elements inspired by Sardinian crafts as well as balconies and terraces.
The renovation was part of a three-year, $45 million upgrade of Forte Village, which included all areas of the resort. Work on the property, which took place during the winter when the resort was closed for the season, was completed this year.
Forte Village, located on 120 acres, offers eight hotels, nine villas, more than 30 restaurants and bars, an open-air entertainment area and a Children's Wonderland kids club with tie-ins with Thomas the Tank Engine and Barbie. There also is a Leisureland for teens, with a go-kart track and bowling lanes.
Other activities include cooking lessons, a magic school and a soccer camp, among other sports, and the Acquaforte Thalasso & Spa for adults.
Guests who book the Hotel Il Castello through Virtuoso receive a number of complimentary amenities, including upgrades when available, daily buffet breakfast for two, a $100 food and beverage credit, a round of golf for two, use of thalasso pools, early check-in/late checkout and WiFi. A 20% discount on spa treatments is also included.
