The Polish Vodka Museum has opened in Warsaw, offering interactive exhibits aimed at introducing visitors to the history of the national drink.

The museum is located in a former distillation plant in the Koneser Praga Centre on the site where the Warsaw Vodka Factory Koneser once produced such Polish flagship vodka brands as Luksusowa and Wyborowa.

The neo-Gothic, 160,000-plus-square-foot facility features a permanent exhibition created by the Nizio Design International architectural design studio in collaboration with graphic designer Andrzej Pagowski.

The visit, which concludes with a Polish vodka tasting experience, offers information on how vodka is produced, what raw materials are used, how the drink is flavored and what food pairings go best with the drink.

The museum also explains the importance of vodka production throughout the Poland's history and its impact on the country's culture.
