The Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group will manage a new luxury hotel and branded residences on Hanover Square in London's Mayfair district.

The project is expected to open in 2021.

The property, which will feature 50 guestrooms and suites and 80 residences, will be developed by Clivedale London and designed by architects Rogers Stirk Harbour + Partners. Features will include a fine-dining restaurant, a lobby lounge, a bar and a private roof terrace with bar overlooking Mayfair.

The development, which will be marketed as Hanover Bond, is situated between Bond and Regent streets on Hanover Square. The square will be the home of the Bond Street Cross Rail station, set to open in 2018, which will enable riders to access Heathrow airport in under 30 minutes.

Mandarin also manages the Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park London, in the Knightsbridge neighborhood. That property has been undergoing an extensive renovation and is expected to wrap up this spring, according to its website.
