The 52-room, five-star Sanders Hotel opened this month in Copenhagen. The luxury boutique property was created by ballet dancer Alexander Kolpin and is housed in a five-floor historical building across from the Royal Danish Theatre.

The hotel features such rustic design elements as rattan ceilings and woven rugs, along with a handpicked collection of work by local artists.

Construction of the property began January 2016, and the design was overseen by London-based studio Lind + Almond, along with Older Paris, which created designer uniforms for the staff.

Other features include a conservatory on the fifth floor, as well as Sanders Kitchen and Tata Bar for fresh, organic fare.

The property is Kolpin's third, along with Helenekilde Badehotel and Tisvildeleje Strandhotel, both in Tisvildeleje, Northern Zealand.

Prices start at about $310 per night.
