Stureplansgruppen, a Stockholm-based hospitality group, is opening the Bank Hotel Aug. 22.

The boutique hotel is located on Stockholm's Nybroviken Quay in the city's main shopping, culture and entertainment district.

Originally built in 1910 and home to several banking institutions before its recent transformation, the 115-room property features bronze doors and an atrium lobby created by architect Thor Thoren that merges Art Deco and Renaissance design elements.

Swedish interior stylists Ida Lauga and Lo Biurlf oversaw the design of the guestrooms and suites, many of which have terraces. They feature a contemporary decor, marble and bronze bathrooms, HDTV with Chromecast, free WIFI and Diptyque toiletries.

Public rooms include a full-service fitness center, complete with a dedicated yoga space, and several restaurants and bars. Bonnie's, the hotel's 94-seat signature restaurant, is helmed by chef Magnus Persson.

Room rates start at about $220 per night.
