The 181-room Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park, London is set to unveil the first phase of an extensive renovation Aug. 1, with the reopening of the guestrooms and suites that face the city's fashionable Knightsbridge district.

The interior design was overseen by Joyce Wang and comprises a blend of art deco elements, an homage to the building's Edwardian heritage, and natural elements inspired by nearby Hyde Park.

Upscale features include original artwork; custom-designed furniture; Bower and Wilkins sound systems with Bluetooth; Nespresso coffee machines; and pillow menus.

The property remains open during the 18-month renovation, which began in September 2016. Future renovations will include upgrades to the Spa at Mandarin Oriental, the hotel's restaurants and bar.
