Downtown Camper, a 494-room hotel in the Scandic portfolio, opened in Stockholm Feb. 3.
Located near relatively untouristed Brunkeberg Square, the property also offers nine suites overlooking the city.
Accommodations include adjoining bedrooms, central Co-Living rooms that can hold up to 12 guests, a game room, a cinema, a lounge and an on-site restaurant called Campfire.
Designed to appeal to outdoorsy guests, amenities include free loaner kayaks, skateboards, longboards and bikes.
Guestrooms, which are pet-friendly, feature free WiFi, HDTVs, blackout curtains, refrigerators, morning refreshments, window nooks, bunk beds and sofa beds.
To encourage guests to mingle with each other and with locals, the property employs a resident lifestyle concierge, Kristian Hell, who organizes yoga, group runs, happy hours, communal film screenings, spiritual workshops and group meals.
Double rooms start at about $170 per night, including breakfast.
