Perillo Tours has created a 3-minute virtual reality video
featuring Rome, Florence and Venice, and is sending free cardboard VR headsets
to travel agents to demonstrate the experience.
"Virtual reality is a great new way to excite clients
about travel destinations," said John Graham, president of Perillo Travel
VR, a virtual reality travel marketing company Perillo Tours launched earlier
this year.
Travel agents can request a free headset while supplies last
by typing "headset" in the Brochures Requested box on Perillo's
website, or by calling 1-800-431-1515.
Perillo's Italy 360-degree video can be viewed in non-VR
format on computer screens and smartphones on YouTube.
Perillo Travel VR works with cruise lines, tourist boards,
airlines and tour operators. The company is billing itself as the only VR
company in the travel space run by travel industry executives "who know
what travel agents and suppliers need to effectively market travel."
It offers on-location, 360-degree video production, from
storyboard to final editing, including music and narration.
