The Waldorf Astoria Beverly Hills is the first hotel to
offer guest packages that include access to the new VIP terminal at Los
Angeles International Airport.
The Waldorf's Private Suite Package gives guests access
to the Private Suite, an LAX-adjacent terminal where guests who seek privacy
and expediency can skip security and boarding lines and board their planes
through a dedicated gate.
The Private Suite, which opened last year and offers annual
membership of $4,500 a year, provides private TSA screening and customs and
immigration processing. Private Suite guests are driven across the tarmac to
their planes via a BMW 7-Series sedan.
Gavin de Becker & Associates, which owns the Private
Suite concept, estimates that its service reduces the typical number of
footsteps a passenger has to take between the curbside and boarding gate from
2,200 to 70.
The Waldorf Beverly Hills' Private Suite package also
includes access to the Private Suite that's operated out of the nearby
Westfield Century City shopping mall, which provides members a separate
entrance, a private vehicle courtyard and a security gate.
No prices have been disclosed for the Private Suite Package.
The 170-room Waldorf
Astoria Beverly Hills opened last year.
