The Swan & Dolphin, a Marriott-operated resort at Walt Disney World, celebrated the completion of a three-year, $140 million overhaul.

All guestrooms at the convention-oriented resort were redesigned, all meeting spaces were renovated, and the Dolphin received a new lobby.

The resort's 2,267 guest rooms were given a new look that reflects the property's water theme, incorporating hues of white, blue and gray. Rooms also have modern furniture and new bathrooms featuring vanities with backlit mirrors.

The rooms were equipped with more outlets and USB ports for charging devices and new high-definition TVs. The resort plans to introduce interactive TV, enabling guests to check out from their room and stream videos from their personal electronic devices to the in-room TV.

The Dolphin lobby has a new chandelier and can seat double the number of guests as before. A new dining venue in the lobby, Fuel, offers grab-and-go breakfast, lunch and dinner. Phins is a new 150-person bar in the lobby that serves wine, beer, cocktails and appetizers as well as brunch-themed drinks on Sunday mornings.

The new Lake View meeting and event space overlooks the resort's private lake. The entire 332,000 square feet of meeting space has been updated, including new technology such as electronic reader boards throughout and high-density Wi-Fi providing high-speed internet to groups as large as 15,000 people.

On the horizon are private poolside cabanas furnished with lounge seating, fans, refrigerators and TVs. They will be available for rental and will offer food and beverage service.

The Swan & Dolphin is located between Epcot and Disney's Hollywood Studios and near the Animal Kingdom and Magic Kingdom theme parks. The resort has 18 restaurants and lounges and a Mandara Spa. There are five pools, two health clubs, tennis courts, nearby golf and complimentary transportation to and from Disney World destinations.
