A Four Seasons hotel will be developed on a 280-acre private
island in Belize near the northern hemisphere's largest barrier-reef system.
Opening is scheduled for 2021.
The Four Seasons Resort and Residences Caye Chapel, Belize,
will have 100 rooms and 35 private residences. The resort will have the Greg
Norman-designed White Shark Golf Course as well as the Fabien Cousteau Nature
and Conservation Institute and Adventure Center. It will also have an airstrip,
a marina and two beach clubs. Guests will be able to go diving, snorkeling and paddle-boarding.
The island, which boasts six miles of beaches, is a
30-minute boat ride or 10-minute flight from Belize City.
In addition to the hotel and residences, the island will
have 50 private-estate beachfront and golf course-adjacent lots for sale.
