Anguilla's Malliouhana, Auberge Resorts Collection has received a major
facelift and will officially reopen on Dec. 15. The luxury resort, nestled high
above Meads Bay and Turtle Cove, has been closed for repairs and renovation
since Hurricane Irma hit last September.
Malliouhana's original 46 oceanfront rooms and suites have
undergone restoration, with the resort planning to unveil 11 new beachfront
suites and four new garden suites by early 2019. The property is also adding a
new two-bedroom villa on Turtle Cove Beach at the start of next year, with that
accommodation featuring a garden patio, private plunge pool and an
indoor-outdoor bathroom with freestanding tub.
Malliouhana's Auberge Spa will be expanded with six additional
treatment rooms in 2019. The property's Sunset Bar was revamped, featuring vaulted ceilings
and long banquettes and adorned with lit birdcages. The resort will have new
meeting and event spaces, located just off the lobby.
Malliouhana also has debuted VIP cabanas at its two-tiered
infinity edge pools, while expanding its existing pool deck outward over a
cliff edge. The extended deck has created an oceanview perch and photogenic
backdrop for weddings and other special events.
Malliouhana is part of the Auberge Resorts Collection.
