United will begin selling premium economy seating on Dec. 3.

The Premium Plus seats will be available on 17 international routes, beginning March 30.

Premium Plus passengers will enjoy an upgraded dining experience on china dinnerware, free alcoholic beverages, an amenity kid and a Saks Fifth Avenue blanket and pillow.

Rows in the Premium Plus cabin will be spaced up to 38 inches apart, which is approximately 7 inches more than United provides in economy. Seats will be up to 19 inches wide and have 6 inches of recline. Seatback entertainment screens will be 13 inches versus United's standard economy offering of 9 inches.

United began flying its first Premium Plus-configured plane in June but held off on selling the fare class and offering Premium Plus service while the airline increased Premium Plus inventory.
