British Airways will fly twice weekly to Charleston, S.C.,
next summer.
The move continues the carrier's expansion into midsized
U.S. markets.
London Heathrow-Charleston flights will operate April 4 through
Oct. 24, 2019.
British Airways will fly the route on Thursdays and Sundays
with a Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner configured with business, premium economy and
economy classes.
Charleston will be one of 29 U.S. destinations served by
British Airways next summer. The carrier will also launch Pittsburgh service in
April. Other recent additions to the British Airways network are Nashville and
New Orleans.
The London flights will be Charleston's only Europe
service.
