American Airlines has opened a new Flagship Lounge at
Chicago O'Hare.
It's the second Flagship Lounge to open since American
decided to revamp its first-class lounges while opening the lounges to flyers
in international business class.
The O'Hare Flagship Lounge, located in Terminal 3 H/K, is open from 3:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. It is 17,000 square feet and
has 300 seats.
Among the lounge's offerings are showers, quiet rooms and
what American spokeswoman Sunny Rodriguez called "endless amounts of
outlets."
Dining options include a hot and cold buffet, a manned
station where Italian beef sandwiches are made to order, and a self-serve wine
and champagne bar.
The O'Hare lounge does not have Flagship First Dining -- the
complimentary full-service restaurant that is available to first-class
international travelers at the JFK lounge that opened in May.
Flagship Lounges are expected to open in Miami and Los
Angeles later this year. Each will offer Flagship First dining.
