Several Marriott beach resorts in Mexico have recently unveiled a number of upgrades.
Marriott Puerto Vallarta Resort & Spa is showing off a new look for its lobby, which now has views over the ocean, a raised ceiling and added seating areas. Its new Ceviche & Tequila Bar, which opened last year, was built into the open-air lobby, with a menu of 180 tequilas. The pool area also got a refreshed look with new cabana pods, and the addition of 700 new lounge chairs. Still to come is the renovation of the 433 guestrooms, which will be completed at the end of 2018.
Marriott Cancun Resort is also showing off a few new details. Its Japanese restaurant, Mikado Restaurant, is currently undergoing a renovation of its interiors. But at the end of 2017, the hotel debuted a complete remodeling of its 450 guestrooms. 414 guestrooms and 36 suites now have a beach-chic design, complete with large glass showers with rainforest shower heads, granite vanity tops, and chrome fixtures.
Finally, the JW Marriott Cancun Resort & Spa is finalizing a full renovation, which will be completed in December. Phase I has already wrapped, with 101 rooms receiving a full upgrade. This summer, the property will finish the renovation of Club 91, the hotel-within-a-hotel concert that has a dedicated concierge and five-meal-a-day lounge, which will show off a new breakfast bar with live cooking stations.
