Spanish hoteliers coming to America
Within a three-month period earlier this year, Melia Hotels International, Riu Hotels & Resorts and Iberostar Hotels & Resorts all planted their first flags in New York. If that were not bold enough, the same companies are engaging in a similar strategy in Miami, the fourth most-expensive U.S. market for hotel room rates after New York, San Francisco and Oahu.
