Maverick Helicopters has expanded its Hawaii operations with the opening of a new branch on Kauai.
Based in Las Vegas, Maverick also operates on Maui. The Kauai office will be its sixth permanent location.
The tour company will operate out of Port Allen Airport, on the southern side of the island near the Poipu area.
"With the Garden Isle's awe-inspiring geographical wonders only accessible by air, Maverick Helicopters is excited to offer our customers an unforgettable experience on Kauai," Bryan Kroten, vice president of marketing at Maverick Helicopters, said in a statement.
The company is offering a 50-minute flight ($299) and 25-minute option ($199), with aerial views of Waimea Canyon and Manawaiopuna Falls. The longer tour also visits the steep, picturesque cliffs of the Napali Coast.
Tours are flown using the Airbus EC130 ECO-Star with room for up to seven passengers, voice-activated headsets and wraparound windows.
