The Kona Coffee Cultural Festival, which started in 1970 and celebrates one of the Hawaiian Islands most enduring commercial products, is scheduled for Nov. 9 to 18 on the Big Island of Hawaii.
The festival is considered Hawaii's longest-running culinary showcase and features roughly 50 events spread out over 10 days.
The schedule includes a Kona Coffee Cupping Competition, Lantern Parade, hands-on cultural events, Kona Coffee farm and mill tours, art exhibits and the Miss Kona Coffee Scholarship Pageant.
A festival button, priced at $3, is required for entry to all official events and may be purchased at numerous locations on the island, including many local coffee shops; an additional event admission charge may also apply for certain programming.
