Kaanapali Beach Hotel recently announced the introduction of three new hires joining the hospitality and marketing teams at the Maui property.

Patty Villarimo Curimao is the new Ohana Fun Center manager, Alexander "Alika" Guerrero is taking over as director of Pookela, and Kongbay Moua is the hotel's new marketing manager.

"As Kaanapali Beach Hotel enters an exciting new phase of growth and expansion, we are thrilled to welcome Patty, Alika and Kongbay to our staff," Kaanapali Beach Hotel General Manager Mike White said in a statement. "I am confident each of these new hires will continue to offer our guests the same unique and authentic cultural experiences that make Kanapali Beach Hotel Hawaii's most Hawaiian hotel."

Villarimo Curimao has worked in hospitality for more than three decades, and joins the hotel after 17 years on staff at Maui's Hyatt Regency. In her new full-time role at the Ohana Fun Center, she will assist guests in scheduling island and beach activities such as stand-up paddle boarding and guided snorkel tours.

Guerrero, a Maui native, will be focused on enhancing guests' understanding and appreciation of the Hawaiian culture. Pookela, meaning "excellence" in Hawaiian, is the hotel's Hawaiian cultural program started in 1984 that provides education and experiences for guests and staff alike.

Moua, previously an associate marketing manager at the Mark Travel Corp., will oversee creative strategies for the hotel and ultimately help increase business and drive brand awareness.
