Hyatt Regency Maui Resort and Spa has introduced a space-oriented program to its roster of wedding packages.
The Maui'd Under the Stars package takes couples up 10 stories to the resort rooftop for a ceremony under the star-speckled night sky. The couple and up to four guests are then invited to a private showing of Tour of the Stars, the resort's stargazing experience with telescopes guided by the resort director of astronomy Eddie Mahoney.
"We have seen many proposals during Tour of the Stars over the years," Frances Goss, director of events at Hyatt Regency Maui Resort and Spa, said in a statement. "We were inspired by these romantic gestures to create an opportunity for couples to have an exceptional celebration of their commitment to each other."
The package includes rehearsal and ceremony coordinated by a Hyatt wedding specialist, arrangement of marriage license appointment, a nondenominational officiant, two traditional Hawaiian leis, a dedicated banquet attendant, a keepsake calligraphy wedding certificate, one bottle of sparkling wine and fruit-infused water.
The Maui'd Under the Stars wedding package starts at $5,000.
