The Hawaii Tourism Authority has formally announced the start of a search process to fill three executive positions in the agency.
HTA is seeking applicants for its top post, president and chief executive officer, as current head of the agency George D. Szigeti is scheduled to step down on Oct. 31.
Additionally, earlier in the year both the chief marketing officer and chief administrative officer resigned from the state agency in charge of promoting tourism to the islands. HTA is also looking for candidates for those two crucial positions.
HTA has hired Inkinen and Associates, a Honolulu-based executive search and consulting firm, to collect and review all of the applications. Three sub-committees, led by selected members of HTA's Board of Directors, will review the applicants who are deemed as viable, qualified candidates to be considered as finalists for each position. The application deadline is Aug. 24.
