Delta will fly daily from Detroit to Honolulu beginning June 29.

The route will be the lone service between the Motor City and the Hawaiian capital, according to the website Flight Connections. Detroit will be Delta's ninth gateway to Honolulu, joining year-round service from Atlanta, Los Angeles, Minneapolis, Salt Lake City and Seattle, and seasonal service from New York Kennedy, San Francisco and Portland, Ore.

Delta will service the route with a Boeing 767-300ER configured with 25 lie-flat Delta One seats, 29 extra-legroom Comfort Plus seats and 171 economy seats.
