The Association of Volleyball Professionals (AVP) and Hawaii Tourism Authority have announced a new event for the tour, the AVP Hawaii Invitational, to be held Sept. 14 to 16.
The international exhibition will take place in Waikiki Beach and include top beach volleyball teams from around the world. In addition to the beach volleyball tournament, attendees can enjoy a event village featuring a children's volleyball clinic, meet-and-greets with top players, sunrise yoga, and a kid-friendly bounce house, among other attractions.
"The AVP Hawaii Invitational is a major addition to Hawaii's sports marketing portfolio and we thank the AVP for believing in Waikiki Beach as a world-class venue to further expand the reach of professional beach volleyball to audiences worldwide," George D. Szigeti, HTA president and CEO, said in a statement.
General admission to the Hawaii Invitational is free, while VIP tickets offering preferred seating and concessions are for sale. For more information on the event, visit www.avp.com.
