Azamara Club Cruises published its 2020 itineraries, and a highlight
will be the first meet-up of the line's three ships on Oct. 8 in Koper, Slovenia.
In Koper, Azamara will host an "Azamazing Evening"
for guests on all three ships. Then the ships will sail together for Venice. Also,
Azamara will offer a "Triple Tour" cruise of 42 days between Athens
and Copenhagen that will involve travel on all three of the Azamara ships --
the Quest, Journey and Pursuit.
The upper-premium line will visit 41 maiden ports in 2020,
including South Africa. Azamara has partnered with luxury safari outfitter Micato
Safaris to offer land-sea packages. For example, guests can opt for a five-day
pre- or post-cruise exploration from Kruger National Park to Cape Town, with
stops at a game reserve and a visit to the Western Cape.
The 2020 itineraries will also feature an 18-night maiden
voyage to French Polynesia and Hawaii, where guests will visit Maui, Oahu and
Hilo. Land adventures include joining a marine biologist in Polynesia on a
research project into wild, free-ranging dolphins, and a submarine voyage to a
sunken wreck off Maui.
Azamara said that in 2020 it will offer a more inclusive
stateroom category called Veranda Plus. This new stateroom category will have
the same dimensions and features as a Veranda but will include complimentary
internet minutes, one night of specialty dining and priority embarkation.
In total, Azamara will offer 92 individual cruises on its
three ships, 40 country‐intensive voyages, 303 late-night
stays and 170 overnight stays.
