The Luxury Bahia Principe Ambar reopened last month following a $30 million investment.

The 528-room beachfront resort in Punta Cana began its makeover in June. The property incorporated 144 swim-up suites, which give guests access to a newly built private pool.

The  restaurant interiors were updated to include more modern furniture and designs, with a subdued color scheme of white and light browns. There is a new coffee shop as well, which serves freshly baked goods.

The Gourmet restaurant has a new contemporary design, with a pentagon-shaped gold bar at the entrance for cocktails and drinks.

The luxury resort is part of a seven-property complex on Bavaro Beach, which has upgrades of its own, like a new sports bar and a fitness center for guests 18 and older.
