Airbnb has named former Amazon executive Dave Stephenson CFO,
effective in early January. He succeeds Laurence Tosi, who departed the company
earlier this year.
A 17-year Amazon veteran, Stephenson most recently served as
vice president and CFO of the e-commerce giant's worldwide consumer
organization, overseeing all global website sales, including Amazon Prime and
Amazon subsidiaries Whole Foods and Zappos.

Prior to that, he was vice president for Amazon's international
consumer business, and he previously led finance across several company
divisions, including North America retail, merchant services and Amazon web
services.
Stephenson is the second longtime Amazon executive to join Airbnb
this year, following the appointment of Greg Greeley to the role of president
of homes in March.
The leadership changes come as Airbnb prepares for an IPO.
The company plans to go public by the end of Q2 2019.
