When it comes to planning a destination wedding, Infinite Indulgence seems like a good place to start. Palladium Hotel Group's five-star concept, TRS Hotels, is celebrating the anniversary of its rebranding, so it's already got the celebration mentality at front of mind.
Last December, Palladium Hotel Group rebranded the former Royal Suites Yucatan by Palladium and the neighboring Grand Palladium Riviera Resort & Spa into the TRS Yucatan Hotel. There are three TRS resorts in Mexico, and a fourth is on the way next month.
The year-old Infinite Indulgence concept was part of the rebranding, and it represents an evolution of the all-inclusive plan. The renovation included the creation of 454 suites, comprising the former Royal Suites and the integration of the Grand Palladium Riviera Resort.
Other touches included the addition of the signature beach club, the restaurant Helios and a saltwater infinity pool.
As an added perk, guests of TRS Hotels have access to the services and facilities of the neighboring Grand Palladium resorts. That includes the restaurants, pools, the beach club, spa and nightly entertainment at Chic Cabaret.
I visited the property in June, and it truly is a lovely, spacious and elegant resort, with a striking lobby, 270 junior suites, 45 suites, 22 Romance Bungalows, 90 junior suites with private pools, 18 suites with private pools and nine Ambassador Suites.
Wedding packages
All TRS Hotels, including the TRS Yucatan, work with wedding planner Karen Bussen, who has designed a variety of customizable packages exclusively for the brand.
Most of these include a professional wedding coordinator and VIP check-in for the bride and groom as well as a superior category room, subject to availability. New packages are going to be available later this year, according to a TRS representative.
Ceremonies are open to all denominations and can be civil/legal, LGBTQ or vow renewals. Options vary from Catholic chapels, like the one that will debut with the new TRS Coral Hotel in Costa Mujeres in November, to gazebos and oceanfront ceremonies. Receptions can accommodate from two to 200 and can include sit-down meals or buffets. Prewedding activities include beauty and spa treatments, bridal tea parties and a groom's lounge.
If booking a stay at the TRS Yucatan, romance clients will feel particularly amorous in one of the Romance Bungalows. These feature large terraces overlooking the lake, complete with hammocks, personal kayaks and outdoor showers.
When the TRS Coral Hotel opens, the swim-up rooms would be best for couples. Each couple also has a personal butler, who can arrange activities like private yoga on the beach, dinner for two in a secluded area of the resort, a twilight photo shoot, sunset wine and in-room breakfasts.
Rates at the TRS Hotel Yucatan start at $363 per room. See www.palladiumhotel group.com/en/brands/trs-hotels.
