Supplied video: NASA test flights collect sonic boom data|Jan 11, 2017
NASA concluded a series of flights last July at its Armstrong Flight Research Center in Edwards, Calif. Conducted over a two-week period, data collected from the Sonic Booms in Atmospheric Turbulence, or SonicBAT, flights will help researchers further the study of shockwaves and assist in the further development of future supersonic commercial aircraft. A sonic boom can be heard around the 3:15 mark in the video.
