Top-tier travel agent and supplier attendees engaged in more than 6,000 one-on-one prescheduled meetings at the third annual Global Travel Marketplace, held June 28 to 30 at the Diplomat Resort & Spa in Hollywood/Fort Lauderdale, Fla.

More than 250 travel agents and suppliers came to this year's event to conduct business, make industry connections and expand professional horizons.

In an intimate setting of eight to 10 travel agents, Cheryl Kasprzycki, business development director, USA, for Travel Alberta, discusses the attractions, natural wonders and experiences available in Alberta, Canada.

Maribel Maldonado from the Mexico Tourism Board and Hugh Sheppard from Encore Travel participate in the event's Meet your Match contest, sponsored by Passport Online's ESP program. All attendees were challenged to find the individual who had the matching half of their travel image.

It was a packed house in the Diplomat Resort & Spa's Great Hall for Monday evening's dinner, sponsored by Curio -- A Collection by Hilton. Delicious food, dancing and networking were enjoyed by all.
