Plenty on offer in Serbia
Senior editor Robert Silk traveled recently to Serbia aboard the new Air Serbia service from JFK to Belgrade. Nearly 20 years removed from the last of the Balkan wars of the 1990s, Serbia hasn't yet emerged onto the world tourism stage the way Croatia and Montenegro have. But it has plenty to offer. Travelers can enjoy the urban vibe of Belgrade, which is known for having one of Europe's most lively nightlife scenes, or venture to a variety of natural wonders, including the Iron Gates gorge, the deepest and longest in Europe.
