An evening fireworks display at the Gimje Horizon Festival. According to legend, twin dragons protect Gimje's Byeokgolje Reservoir, the country's oldest irrigation facility, dating to the fourth century.

The Jinju Namgang Yudeung Festival commemorates a 1592 battle in which outnumbered Korean forces held off a Japanese invasion at Fort Jinjuseong.
