Imperiale Palace Hotel

Location and History

Located 4 kilometers south of Portofino, across the street from spacious parklike grounds and a private beach, this hotel was once the summer residence of Corsican nobility. The signing of the Treaty of Rappalo, marking the end of World War I, cemented the manor's place in history.

These days the palace continues to hold plenty of period splendor, but modernization is showing up most notably in the guest quarters, though the bar traded in its gilt and ormolu for a sophisticated modern look.
