Unterdorfstr. 1, Salgesch, Switzerland 3970
Location and History
Salgesch is a small town in the Valais best known for its wine estates that thrive on the edges of town. While Swiss wines are not well-known outside the country nor exported because of the strong domestic demand, the Valais has been producing wines for more than 1,000 years. The town is located in the Rhone Valley and is accessible via a train station serviced by local trains that operate between Sierre and Brig. Trains to Zurich International Airport and other parts of Switzerland connect to both of these main rail stations.
