Location and History
Once the Hotel Formentora along the seaside, Four Seasons has brought its hospitality prowess to the biggest Balearic Island in Spain. The resort, which opened in 1929, is surrounded by forests in what is the most northern part of the island. Adan Diehl, an art-loving Argentinian entrepreneur, saw this slice of real estate and snatched it up with plans to build another Four Seasons for the Iberian peninsula.
This hotel has hosted artists, diplomats and writers who come to be inspired by its bucolic scenery.
