Location and History

In a treasured Left Bank location, on a narrow, relatively tranquil one-way street, this classic four-story walk-up—there is an elevator, but it only reaches a few rooms—is a charmer with an elegant, traditional-leaning eclecticism and enough historic provenance to put it on the map for romantics.

Not your average Parisian boutique convert in the 6th arrondissement, the building, once the British Embassy, was instrumental in getting the Treaty of Paris signed. (Some of the final details were hammered out in the hotel's garden, though the signing actually took place down the street.
