Location and History

In the opposite direction of Marienplatz and the old town (30-minutes on foot), in a light industrial neighborhood, 20-minutes' east of the main train station on foot, this place is closer to the Bavarian headquarters of Google and Apple than the historic center.

Thanks to the tech boom in Munich, this is a gentrifying neighborhood with a growing number of trendy bars and restaurants popping up in unexpected corners.

For Oktoberfest fans, the fairgrounds is a reasonable stumbling distance from here, about 20 minutes away.
