Located near the Disney World Resort area, this gigantic resort complex sprawls around a 42-acre lake that can be as confusing to navigate as a Florida swamp in the fog. Nevertheless, it is a fun, whimsically themed tropical getaway that offers great rates for its facilities and quality of accommodations, all of which have seen recent improvements.
Anyone unfamiliar with Disney's midrange roster of hotels should be aware that this hotel, like the others, boasts a mind-boggling room count—more than 2,000—and long lines snaking around reception, restaurants and the pools, which can make it a questionable choice for tranquility-seekers.
