Located 20 feet back from the canyon rim, this is the granddaddy of Fred Harvey's historic Grand Canyon lodgings, built in 1905, 14 years before the creation of the national park. It is in the style of a Swiss hunting lodge and stands at the terminus of the defunct Grand Canyon Railway.
