Location and History
Inkaterra La Casona is situated on the tranquil garden-like Plazoleta de las Nazarenes. The Museum of Pre-Colombian Art is nearby, as are a few upscale restaurants and shops.
Housed in a 16th-century mansion, one of the first Spanish constructions in the city, this hotel is now a National Historic Monument. In the 1530s it was the home of Diego del Almagro, one of the Spanish conquistadores of Cusco. In the 1820s, the mansion was home to Simon Bolivar.
