This fully restored, neo-Gothic architectural gem, redesigned as a boutique-hotel, enjoys an affiliation with World of Hyatt to help fill its rooms. It is part of Hyatt's growing Unbound Collection of independent boutique-hotels.
The 11 floors of this vintage 1893 building, often simply called the CAA, were designed by Henry Ives Cobb as a private men's club with Turkish baths and a swimming pool before being converted to a hotel a decade ago. It is said to even have had private entrances for members' mistresses and soundproofed areas where members could call their wives privately.
