The Ritz-Carlton, Kapalua on the northwest coast of Maui has launched a pop-up dining series called Hook + Knife.
The series takes place on the newly revamped Ulana Terrace and features a special compilation of locally sourced, fusion dishes from several members of the resort's culinary team.
The menu is focused on innovative takes on steakhouse classics, such as a lavender-rosemary rack of lamb and mango barbecue whole chicken. Other dishes include a seafood tower, charred shishito peppers, locally caught snapper and fresh ahi sashimi. The menu also features salads, soups, artisan cheese plates and desserts. On Wednesdays, select bottles of wine are half price and the nightly happy hour specials from 5 to 6 p.m. include half off the signature Ulana Seafood Tower and Moet Champagne by the glass.
The new pop-up is led by executive sous chef Meredith Manee. Hook + Knife dinners take place nightly from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. and are available for a limited time. Reservations can be made by phone at 808-665-7089 or online on OpenTable, where they are currently available through Feb. 6.
