The sixth annual Showcase Antigua Barbuda, a B2B event to increase travel business to the destination, has been set for June 19 and 20.
Approximately 100 tour operators and buyers are being targeted to attend the event, held by the Antigua and Barbuda Tourism Authority in collaboration with the Antigua Hotels and Tourist Association.
The event happens to fall right before the country's restaurant week, so attendees can expect to be treated to a taste of the destination's gastronomic efforts.
One of the highlights of the event will be the introduction of the Royalton Antigua Resort and Spa, which will open early next year. The resort will have 228 rooms, two pools and seven restaurants and bars. It will feature a Diamond Club level, which has elevated amenities like enhanced room categories, butler service, a selection of in-suite liquors and preferential reservations in the a la carte restaurants.
